A quick update from the season so far and what’s coming up. Our last training session before the Summer Break will be next week, Monday 20 July. Currently the snow conditions at Hemel are probably the best it’s been since the centre opened 7 years ago and that’s no exaggeration. However we are still low on numbers at our sessions so why not join us for the last bash before the break. We do need support of the club members to keep our costs down.
We resume training on Monday 7 September. The centre are closed all that day for maintenance but have kindly offered to open for us ONLY at 1800 on that Monday. A great thanks to them. There will be no bar facilities but we will give more information nearer the time.
The HEMEL CHAMPS take place on Saturday 12 SEPTEMBER starting at 1430. The race will consist, as it did last year, 2 slalom runs, 2 GS runs with the best time from one slalom and one GS aggregated to find the Club Champions for 2015. Trophies need to be returned to Sarah Dean before the event, please contact her direct (firstname.lastname@example.org). More details about the champs will be sent in due course but initially entry fee will be £15.00 to include supper, extra meals will be available at a cost of £6.00. These all include a soft drink. Keep a lookout for the information to be circulated very shortly. ALL club members are of a suitable standard for this event and part of the criteria for membership was you supported the club at appropriate events. Continued membership was subject to this. This event will count as part of that criteria. We will be needing help for this event.
Club Membership comes up for renewal at the end of October, details will be forwarded to all eligible members in September.
The Summer Race Season is now completed apart from the Championship events in September and October. Currently the National Club Championships stand as below

There are two more races to add to this total, the Avon CN and the Hemel CN. We know that Hemel will have maximum points from the Hemel Race so it will all come down to the Avon results. Either way it will be very close. Watch this space.
The ERSA season completed at Ipswich on the 28 June. Congratulations to all those that took part in the series. The Champs which are now part of the overall Summer Series, will take place at Hemel on 26 September and at Welwyn slope (subject to circumstances) on Sunday 27 September.
Please book early into next weeks training session to enable us to plan ahead and for those away we wish you all a very good summer break and look forward to seeing you on Monday 7 September for your training session before the Champs the following Saturday. Please support your club.
All the best HSRC
