The centre has expressed a great “Thank you” to those members of the club that helped them set up and run their “Olympic” challenge slalom weekend. The club loaned, setup and run the timing. The members of the public that went down the course showed enthusiasm and commitment. Over the 2 days we recorded 1000+ timed runs on the Saturday and 750+ timed runs on the Sunday. Very big thanks to Paul, Olly and Steve for helping out. Even though not up to the 60+ gates that were at Sochi the club in conjunction with the centre set up an 8 gate slalom course for the public to experience. We had a number of people show an interest in the club and with the 40+ that have shown an interest since the Olympics there may be a number of new faces around.
This week was the slalom, next week freestyle, then moguls and Skier Cross, see the centres website for details.
