ERSA – Norfolk Summer league Sunday 12th May 2013
(Report from Gllian) Hemel Ski Race Club was represented by 12 race members last sunday at the Summer league ski race held at Norfolk. Four of the Racers took podium positions with three of the Racers achieving fantastic 1st places in their age category. Youngest member of Family Team Bardetti, Giulietta won the Girls Under 8 age group. Elise Snow won the u16 female category and Alison Wang took the top spot in the female MA1 age category and Joshua Penning – Lambert was 2nd in the u16 Male category. GBR Indoor Race Series 2 and 3.
Races 2 and 3 of the GBR indoor series took place this weekend at Manchester; Hemel had a number of racers taking part and some noticeable results.
In the GBR race 2 Shanna Danenbergsons took 2nd place in the U14 age group whilst Marie Curtis was placed 4th in the U18’s. In the Male event Robert Trebilcock was placed 1st in the U21 whilst being 3rd Overall. Marc Telling also won his SEN age group and was placed 4th overall. Kieran Norris came 2nd in the U21 being piped by Robert by just over a second. Dad John maintained the family pride by gaining 4th in the Masters. Dexter Lee continued his good form on his first real year of National racing by coming 4th in the U14.
On Sunday the GBR Indoor Race 3 took place, Shanna repeated her second place from the day before whilst Marie was DSQ in run 2 after a good first run.
The male event saw Matthew Thompson coming first in the U21 with Kieran taking second place. Dexter improved his position from the day before by taking 3rd in the U14’s. John Norris was once again placed 4th. Marc and Robert could not maintain form from the previous day and were DSQ in R1 and R2 respectively.
