Two national events took place this weekend within the region this weekend. On Saturday was the Welwyn Club National followed on Sunday by the SMK Club National. 23 members took part in the dry slope race at Welwyn and 40 took part on the Indoor Snow at MK. All results can be found on http://Britski.org Well done to all those that competed. Coming up on Sunday 23rd June is the HEMEL CLUB NATIONAL, we had 40 for MK, let’s see if we can treble that. The race is suitable for all members over 10 years old. Two weeks later is the ERSA Hemel, again we want really good turnout, if never raced this is the best one to start with, home slope, people you know. Please try to support your club at both these events.
Below are the results for some of the Hemel members in both races this weekend.
At Welwyn in the U10 boys Thomas Beglin came 3rd in his first year of racing. In the U12s Helena Blythe came second whilst Toby Case continued his winning form and came first in the U12 boys around the stubbies.
In the main event Nicole Sheering came 1st in the U14 age group whilst coming 3rd overall. Alison Wang was placed 1st in the Mas age group and her husband Matt did not race but helped the organisers on the day running the race. This was greatly appreciated. In the U16 group Elise Snow was placed 3rd. Other members who competed were Issy and Eleanor Trew, Carys Boty and Charlotte Blythe. In the boys competition Josh Penning-Lambert was placed 1st in the U16,s. Harry Boty and Brendon Chaplin competed in the Under 18s, Charlie Humphreys in the Uder 14,s.
On Sunday at MK we had some very good results, once again Toby Case was placed first in the U12 , boys event whilst Hugo Warner was 12th .Caroline Gay, Matilde Magenes and Harriet Warmington, came 7th,8th and 9th Catherine Gay, Holly Clarke and Sophie Thomas came 11th, 12th and 13th in the girls U12 age group.
In the U14 girls Alicia Kracheski was placed 1st and 2nd overall, Sarah Woodward 2nd, 9th overall and Nicole Sheering 4th 10th overall. Annecy Stevens was placed 8th. In the Boys U14 Dexter Lee was placed 3rd. The Under 16 girls saw Elizabeth Gay being placed 3rd. Issy Trew was 4th and her twin Eleanor 6th. Bea Barder was 12th and Sophie Neumann in her first indoor race was placed 12th. Josh P-L was placed first again in the U16 boys, Carlito Miracco was 4th.
In the Under 18 age group Marie Curtis was placed 2nd, 6th overall , Amber Buckland was 6th. In the boys U18 we had a clean sweep; Oliver Kralchelski, Alex White and Richard Warmington, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Berendon Chaplin was 5th.
Robert Trebilcock came first in the U21 men and was placed 1st overall. Ali Wang came second in the MAS ladies age group. Kerry Turnock DNF Run 1. In the MAS men Matt Wang decided to race today and was placed 7th whilst Alan Lyons was 6th. Jim Gibb was 4th.
