When the club was based at its temporary home in 2008/9, we experienced regular attendances of between 6 and 15 racers at our Saturday afternoon sessions. A few who attended also raced for the Club at weekends on plastic slopes in a wide range of competitions.

With the move to our home base of the Snow Centre, comes a return to the old system whereby the slope runs advanced sessions for the Junior Development Group (occasionally utilising one of the Race Club’s coaches).

These sessions are being held on Saturday afternoons from 1pm until 3pm. They are currently priced at £21 (inclusive of member’s discount). All bookings and queries should be addressed to the Snow Centre; please call the Hemel Snow Centre on 0845 258 9000. It is important to note that you should pre-book for theses sessions, checking as you do so that they will go ahead each week.

This will act, as before, as the feeder into the Club’s regular Monday evening training sessions. This progression is limited by age (minimum of 7 years) and by ability / maturity. Progression is by invitation only, based on an assessment of the training team.

For those members under 7 years who wish to join in the activities on a Monday evening, Richard Oblein will set up a fun area at the bottom of the trainer slope (there will be no access to the main slope under this arrangement). Sessions will take place for one hour from 6.30-7.30pm at a cost of £6.50. These will only take place when space is available on the trainer slope (determined by the Snow Centre on the night unfortunately). As a result it is not possible to pre-book.
