The second leg of the final of last nights Team Evolution Dash For Cash saw Ravens Rory Farren pip Aldershot’s Craig speed to the £1000 prize money by just 0.05 hundredths of a second!
Trailing the Aldershot racer by 0.08 hundredths after the first leg, Farren stormed back by 0.13 hundredths and take the win by the smallest of margins and collect the cheque from The Winter Sports Foundation.
Fantastic levels of support from all the spectators under the floodlights, with racers… eliminated in earlier rounds staying late into the night to cheer on the finalists and add to an amazing atmosphere.
Thanks to Racer Ready for filming the night and donating all money from the sale of photos (available on the Racer Ready website) to The Winter Sports Foundation bureau fund, and a massive shout out to Rossignol for laying on the prizes and Ski Bartlett and Ski Racing Supplies for paying for the BBQ for all the competitors.
Finally, and most importantly – thank you to all the competitors for making this event such a great event, especially those returning to raising for the first time in a number of years to raise money for a good cause, and the likes of Craig Speed who showed true sportsmanship in getting pipped to the cheque.
We can’t wait till next time!
