Hemel Success at Lowlands Championships Skiers from Hemel travelled to Belgium last weekend to compete in the Lowlands championships, at the Snow Valley indoor centre in Peer. The event pits the best skiers from England, Holland, Belgium, Luxembourg and Denmark, against each other in Slalom races running across the weekend. The long slope and good snow conditions allowing a long 305m race course to be set.
The Snow Valley cup event ran on the Saturday, with the Lowlands championships on the Sunday. There were 25 Hemel trainees competing, Josephine Bozetto, Amber Gladin, Olivia Herries, Olivia Howeson, Olivia Howeson, Sophie Hughes, Emily Magnani, Emily Mcleish, Isobel Sadler, Katie Saunders, Cordelia Stevens, Lilyella Stevens, Lucy Stretton, Emma Trust, and Charlotte Warne in the females, from U10s through to U18 age groups. In the mens Augustin Bozetto, Lucas Collyer-Todd, Harry Duncan, Ryan Faber, Oliver Sadler, Harvey Stanley, Jake Stretton, Alexander Trust, John Urquhart, Aiden Urquhart, and Colm Urquhart competed in age groups ranging from U10s to Masters.
Some excellent results from Hemel members across the board helping to secure the Nations Cup for GB for the first time. Details of podium winners below.

Other top 10 finishes came from Katie Saunders who finished 6th on the Saturday (first British female u12), and was 8th on the Sunday. Charlotte Warne secured two top ten finishes (7th and 8th) in the u16 category, and was 4th British female overall. Olivia Howeson with her 1st, and 2nd in the u14s also finished as overall 3rd British female on both days.
